Laura Bellingham Cinematographer

ABOUT

Laura is a cinematographer shooting drama, commercials, promos, fashion films and documentaries.

Her varied portfolio has taken her around the globe from the Kansas prairies to the uninhabitable Exclusion Zone of Chernobyl and garnered several awards, most notably the Berlin Today Award at the 61st Berlinale for Hackney Lullabies and a nomination at BAFTA Scotland. Her work has been screened at many international film festivals including Berlin, BFI London, SXSW and Los Angeles.

Since graduating with a masters from the National Film and Television School in London, she has been selected to attend the Berlin Talent Campus and featured as a new talent in Fuji Film’s Exposure magazine and British Cinematographer in their 'Meet The New Wave' section. Laura was commissioned to shoot the Nikon commercial “Tears”, one of the films marking their upcoming 100th anniversary. She has recently wrapped on her first feature DOUBLE DATE and is about to begin shooting her second ZERO, a dystopian chase thriller for the BFI and BBC films.

Prior to the NFTS Laura attended the European Film College in Denmark and she has a BA from York University and L’Università di Bologna in Literature. As an English Literature graduate as well as a cinematography graduate, Laura has a passion for narrative driven imagery and capturing deeply personal stories in both drama and documentary.
